An Introduction of Hoffmann
Hello everyone. Hopefully I'll be joining you all as a recruit soon enough. My experience with RO has been an interesting one, through around 2 years on the game, I've been in Two other realism units, and have had lots of fun, gunning down Reds from behind my STG-44. I started out with the Kar 98K. This gave me quite a bit of skill with the weapon, as I started my first 2-3 months with it.
My first experience with it, was with the 9th SS Hohenstaufen. This unit was excellent, there were around 8-10 active members, and we grew as a team, worked together, and did excellently in squads. This unit was quite a blast for me. I enjoyed it until my RO2 crashed, it still hasn't recovered, leaving myself in the RO/RO:DH realm. I prefer the first games to the second, from voices, to just overall feeling.
I'm quite the mix of nationalities. My French ancestors came over to the Montreal province in the 1640s/50s, my ancestor was scalped, lived, and got married, continuing our blood line. My most interesting Bulgarian ancestor was in a unit of raiders who would go over into Russia and kill, pillage, and raid throughout the countryside. My German ancestors married into some royalty, not knowing which region. I have almost no knowledge of my Norwegian or Swedish ancestors.
It's pretty obvious to see that I love history, Military History is preferred. I love humour, and some of my favourite shows are "Tosh.O, Colbert Report, and The Daily Show".
I hope to have another great unit experience with this 25th Panzergrenadier Division. So, see you on the battlefield! I hope to be joining you as a comrade, rather than an enemy.

Scalped you say?
Interesting! My Native American Blood-line is actually in that area. Or at least they were after the Revolutionary War. They were the unfortunate ones that sided with the British against the American Colonies. When the British were eventually defeated, they were expelled along with other portions of the Six Indian Nations.
Welcome to the unit!

Can't help to notice, your location say Chicago. Do you really live there? Because I do too, Nice to see a fellow Chicagoan on the unit.
And, I have to say your ancestor is very unique indeed!

Ahh that's wonderful to hear.
Maybe they should set up a Gruppe "Chicago", Just kidding.

Didn't think there would be this many Chicagoans in the unit.
